I recently stumbled onto a few of these video essays by Tony Zhou and they're brilliant dissections of the craft of directing.

If I didn't feel like I should spend more time writing, I'd be keen to make some of these one day.  Till then check them out!

It took the efforts of these people, (and a few others) to help make Casualties a reality.

I'm still really proud of what we were able to achieve over those 4 days in the bush.

In the aftermath of WWII, Frankfurt was a levelled city.

With the intention of gaining support from the rest of Germany and the world for their rebuild, they built a model of the town, which is on display in the Frankfurt Museum, to depict the scale of the destruction.

They exaggerated a lot of the details to drum up increased support.

Sometimes we all build model towns.
